Are your kids bored during the summer?  Wish they’d watch less TV?  Light of Islam offers a solution - our Summer Kids Club offers elementary through senior level students an opportunity to read and write for fun.

At the elementary and junior levels (children starting 2nd through 8th grades in the fall), children select an age-appropriate book to read and write a brief review of.  Every book review earns a 10% discount coupon toward a bookstore purchase.  Participants also have their name entered into a raffle for a special prize at the Summer Kids Club party on August 7!  Register in person, by phone at 832-205-1457 or click the link below.

For high school level students (children starting 9th through 12th grade in the fall), we offer a six-week writing improvement class taught by bookstore director Ruth Nasrullah, a writer with a master’s degree in journalism.  The class will be held Tuesday evenings from June 8 through July 13.  This class has limited space, so sign up early.  Class fee is $25, which includes materials.
