Light of Islam is that place.

Light of Islam is a nonprofit educational center and bookstore in Webster, TX.  Our mission is to provide the Houston-area community with accurate and accessible information about Islam and Muslims.  It offers classes, lectures, discussion groups, workshops and more.  It is the place people of all faiths can go to read, listen and share, where people of diverse interests and religious backgrounds can learn about Islam.

Light of Islam serves both Muslims and non-Muslims - anyone with questions about Islam, whether religious, philosophical, historical or social.  We carry books, CDs and DVDs covering a broad range of topics including Islamic studies, comparative religion, spirituality, current events, science, history, fiction and more.  Our educational offerings include an introduction to Islam class, introduction to reading the Qur’an, and instruction in Islamic prayer for men and women.  Our activities include book signings, a Muslim converts group, book discussion group and Saturday Afternoon Poetry series.  We are continuously adding activities and events.
